Kos

Steeped in Greek history, breath-taking beaches and charming tavernas – Kos covers everything from culture to cocktails.

Kos Town is the ideal destination for shopping and dining with boutique shops and lively restaurants around every corner. The central harbour is perfect for relaxing strolls or sunset cycles, lined with tall trees and cycle paths which extend out along the coast in either direction.

The island is lined with white-sand and crystal-clear waters, the perfect setting for a refreshing dip or catching some sun. Swim in the volcanic heated hot springs at Therma Beach, well known for their healing properties, it is a great way to unwind.

The Asklepieion, one of Greece’s longest surviving archaeological sites, provides stunning views across the Aegan Sea towards Turkey. The archaeological site was originally constructed as a sanctuary devoted to Asclepius, God of Healing, as a place of healing and teaching of medicine. Ancient Agora is another historical site that is well worth a visit, once a market and meeting place for ancient Greeks in Kos. The site is free to enter and wander around, on the north side you’ll find the ruins of a temple dedicated to Hercules, a shrine of Aphrodite as well as the remains of a 5th century Christian Basilica.

Take a day trip to Kalymnos Island, located in the South-eastern Aegean Sea. The Island is filled with tall cliffs, remote coves, and small beaches. The rocky cliffs make it a top climbing destination, perfect for an active holiday!

You will find most of Kos’ nightlife in Kos Town and Kardamena. Whether you want to go all-out clubbing or if you’d like a more laid-back dinner and drinks with a view, Kos has you covered.

A firm favourite for those looking for a relaxing escape, but with amazing water sports, cycling and islands in hop-able distance, you’ll certainly never be bored.
