The majestic Roque Nublo, a towering volcanic rock which is protected by UNESCO, is a real highlight and those who make it to the top are rewarded with some quite spectacular views of the Tejeda mountain. The old town of Las Palmas is also a must-visit when in Gran Canaria.

Ibiza

An island with pretty much everything. On one hand you've got the lively, buzzing nightlife (we all know nowhere does a party quite like Ibiza). On the other you've got fantastic walking routes and a gorgeous Old Town for those after a less high-octane experience.

Menorca

It might be renowned for being the quietest and most tranquil of the Balearic Islands, but it's no less beautiful. If you're looking to go walking, or spend a few days relaxing on the beach, there are few places better for it.

Menorca also comes with a reputation for fantastic food.

Palma

Thinking of visiting Mallorca's sun-kissed capital?

There's much more to Palma than the nightlife - although the nightlife is world renowned. Perfect if you want to sample the relaxed atmosphere of life on the seaside, are keen to feast on some outstanding tapas, or simply want to switch off and recharge the batteries in relaxing surroundings.

The stunning Castell de Belver, a 14th century castle built on a wooded hillside, is among the several highlights.

Reus

Far, far more than just a gateway to the Costa Dorada.

Yes it's surrounded by, and provides easy access to, an array of gorgeous towns on the coast of Catalonia. However it's also a buzzing seaside city in its own right, and home to some magnificent architecture. Those who enjoy a glass of wine won't want to miss out on the local offering.

Santander

A city with real charm. The capital of Cantabria in Northern Spain, Santander is something of a hidden gem. Off the beaten track, if you like.

To say Santander is easy on the eye is an understatement. Its mountain landscape and white sand beaches make this a glorious place to spend some time.
